Zora Lee Lockhart

Zora Lee Lockhart, age 77 passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016.Zora was born in Winona, Mississippi. She confessed her hope in Christ at Christ Church Apostolic and later united with New Beginnings Fellowship Church. Zora was very active with the The Federation for the Blind of Indiana. Zora completed the Braille program in Indianapolis. She was employed with BOSMA and truly enjoyed her job. Although Zora was blind, she accomplished so many things in her lifetime. She loved to travel. She absolutely love children and made sure she had an active role in the lives of every child in her family. She leaves to cherish her memories: 3 sisters: Lula Hilliard (Paul), Willa Lockhart and Eva Goynes (George); 1 sister-in-law: Inez Lockhart; 1 son: William E. Lockhart (Renee); 1 daughter: Marla Hudson (Sam) 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 special friends, and a host of other relatives and friends.Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13th from 10am - 11am at Jones Tabernacle AME Zion Church, 2510 E. 34th Street. Funeral service will follow at 11am.Interment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
