Willie James "Mark" Clark

Willie James “Mark” Clark was born on June 5, 1968, to Rosie Lee Shorter-Buck and Coleman “Cherry C” Clark in Indianapolis, Indiana.  

Mark professed a love for Christ at an early age.  He was baptized at Greater Southern Baptist Church by Reverend Melroy Ervin, which was attended by his mother. He graduated from Warren Central High School in 1986. 

Mark was a fun-loving and family-oriented person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and was an avid fan of Hip Hop. 

Mark departed this life on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the age of 55.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosie Lee and Cherry C.; stepfather, Leon “Charlie” Shorter; and brothers, Leon Charles Shorter and Jerry Shorter. 

He leaves to cherish his memory: his sisters, Lorraine Anderson, Yvonne Clark, Joyce Williams (Henry), Jeanie Graves (Freddy), Diane Shorter (Gerald) and Vernice Shorter; brothers, Michael Shorter and Danny Shorter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
