William Robert Hale

William Robert Hale, Sr. age 86 passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016.William was born in Gadsden, Alabama on March 14, 1929. He received his elementary education in Gadsden Public School System and his secondary and high school education in the Indianapolis Public Schools. He married Beverly Walker in 1971 and to this union four children were born: Telisha Hale Alexander, Jamika Hale, William Hale, Jr., and Marlon Hale. He also had two other daughters: Annelle Hale Furman and Tamika Austin.William loved to play poker and he enjoyed watching basketball games.He will be missed by all those who had the opportunity of being blessed with his presence. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his daughters: Annelle, Telisa, Jamika and Tamika; sons: William Jr. and Marlon; sons-in-law: Damon Alexander, Sr. and Anthony Furman, brothers: James Hale and Mark Williams, Sr.; sister: Martha Jean Washington; brother-in-law: Kenneth Washington, 28 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 10am until 12 Noon at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals, 5811 E. 38th Street. Funeral service will follow at 12 Noon. Interment will be in New Crown Cemetery.
