William Irvin Crawford

William I. Crawford, Jr, passed away on November 21,2022 at the age of 91 after an encouraging battle with cancer.

William was born on May 21, 1931, in Indianapolis, Indiana.   He joined the Navy at the age of 15 and after his honorable discharge, he went on to work at Chrysler. Upon his retirement he would spend his time doing his favorite hobbies fishing and boating.

William is predeceased by his wife Anna Crawford, his father William I. Crawford, Sr and his mother Milroy Alene Crawford, his brothers Charles and John Crawford and his sister Arlene Crawford.

William was greatly loved and will be missed by his nieces Rhonda Crawford and Valerie Gooch, his nephews; Ferdinand (Scooby) Edwards Jr (his wife Lenora); John Edwards and Gregory Shemwell (his wife Heather) his great niece Victoria Gooch; his great nephews Anthony and Demetrius Edwards and his favorite great, great niece Ugena Edwards and a host of great, great nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held at Lavenia & Summers on December 15, 2022. Viewing is from 11am-12pm. Funeral starts at 12pm.
