Welton Troutman

WELTON TROUTMAN SR., known as “Troutman” was born December 16, 1945 and was called home on September 15, 2019. He was born in
Indianapolis, Indiana.
Troutman was raised in Haughville on the westside of Indianapolis, he attended IPS elementary schools and Shortridge High school where he played
basketball. Troutman later joined the Army and returned as an Army vet and furthered his education at Ivy Tech State College.
Troutman worked for the City of Indianapolis at the City County Building; the Trustees Office, Ziebart and various other jobs throughout his life prior to
retiring. He loved to dress and loved his hats too.
Troutman lived a long-fulfilled life, he loved his wife Dee Dee and his children with whom he had a close bond and a special bond with his daughter
Trina. He loved his family, loved to play chess, cards and pool. He loved sports and was an avid Colts fan.
Most importantly Troutman loved God and accepted Christ at an early age.  He spent the last five years in recovery and dedicated to Christ and
strengthening his family’s bond.
He always kept his bible on him and had a word of scripture for you. He was a member of Shephard’s Church.  Troutman was preceded in death by his mother Ophelia, brother Reggie Troutman and sister Regina Troutman.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Deloris Clark-Troutman “Dee Dee”, his sons, Welton Troutman Jr. “Sonny” (Tonya) and Johnny D. Quarrels;
daughters, Dionne Grundy-Dickerson (Melvin) and Trina C. Troutman; stepchildren Jack Donza Davis and LaTia Whorton, Lisa Reynolds (Michael);
grandchildren, Welton Troutman III “Lil Sonny”, Dominique Troutman, Donahvan Troutman, Tiara Taylor-Troutman, Mark A. Troutman, David L.
Black, Donnico L. Black, Ashlee Troutman, James Patterson, Jasmine Patterson, Yakimya Quarrels, Jovon Quarrels, Ebony Scates, DaQuan Ludy,
Johnny Quarrels Jr., and eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.  Troutman will truly be missed.
