Velois Brown

Mrs. Velois Brown, age 74, passed away on Saturday, February13, 2016.She is the loving mother of Jennifer (Ferguson) Mayfield; also survived by 4 grandchildren; 4 sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.Velois was employed by 7-11 Supermarkets of Indianapolis for 34 years. She was married to her longtime partner of 24 years, John Henry Brown on December 20, 1990. Velois earned several degrees: diploma from Fosters Beauty College, and an Associates in Arts degree in Business Education from Oklahoma College.Velois was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. While on earth she sowed the seeds of love, kindness, patience and encouragement. She truly leaves a legacy of love.Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19th from 5 to 7pm at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals 5811 E. 38th Street. Funeral service will follow at 7pm.Interment will be in Marion National Cemetery on Monday at 1pm.
