Troy Lee Collins

Troy Lee Collins, age 59, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016.Troy was born in Sunflower County, Drew, Mississippi the oldest of four children.He confessed his belief in Christ at the age of 12. He attended Elementary and Middle school in Drew, MS. He relocated to Indianapolis in 1970 where he attended and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1974. Troy enlisted in the US Navy and served for four years.In 1978 he relocated to Chicago, IL where he met the love of his life, Ruthie Lee Larry. They were joined in matrimony and shared thirty-two wonderful years together. Troy worked for United Steel for 10 years, and in 1992 he and Ruthie became business owners twice...opening Collins Barbeque in Chicago, IL and their second business, Collins Landscaping and Lawn Care, LLC. After retiring in 2013, they relocated to Indianapolis where he resided until his passing. Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10am - 12 Noon at Grace Memorial Missionary Baptist Church 3019 N. LaSalle. Funeral service will follow at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Sutherland Park Cemetery.
