Tony Louis Cox ' TLC', age 45 passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Tony (the only son) was born on November 1, 1970 to Joe Louis Cox and the late Gladys Coleman Cox. He made his greatest commitment to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in 1985 at Light of the World Christian Church and maintained his affiliation over 30 years.In 1989 he graduated from Lawrence Central High School, where he was the Team Captain on the LC Bears Football Team. He later matriculated to Indiana State University in Terre Haute and Indiana Purdue University in West Lafayette utilizing his football prowess and as a scholar. He earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Essex Community College, Baltimore County, Maryland and then continued as a scholar/athlete at Towson Sate University, Towson, Maryland.Tony had a wonderful opportunity to play semi-professional football for the Indianapolis Panthers in 1994-1995. Tony enjoyed travel and easily covered the United States multiple times as well as international destinations. In 2006 he and Dedra Myesha joined hearts and pledged their marriage vows. To this union two children were born, Xzavier Alexander Cox and Halai Katherine Cox. They along with their older sisters Ariah Daniels, Mikaela Jones and Jenna Jones formed the family that Tony proudly embraced and loved.Tony worked for the City of Indianapolis Animal Control for 20 years. In 2012 he joined Chrysler in Kokomo and later transferred to the Tipton plant. He became a member of UAW Local 685 where he remained until his demise. Tony was a true family man with wise words to share and his passion for life was demonstrated at every opportunity. He's now playing in the Celestial Super Bowl! Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30th, 9am until service time of 11 am at Light of the World Christian Church, 4646 Michigan Rd. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
