Taylor “Duck” Cothern, 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away comfortably on June 26, 2020 after a short battle with Covid 19 and other ailments.
“Pops” was born on August 26, 1940 to Verna Cothern a loving Mother and Grandmother in Carrollton, Mississippi. After High School he went on to marry Lillie P. Moore who preceded him in death in 2008. The couple moved to Indianapolis in the early 1960’s and had three children, Jeanette, Terry and Darrell. They blessed Taylor with seven Grandchildren, all who he loved so much: Maurice, Darien, Darrell Jr., Devin, Mareesia, Deion and Darrin.
He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren also. After working construction, Taylor found his opportunity at General Motors (Chevrolet) from where he retired in 1999.
“Pops” loved driving everywhere, he enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards and going to Casinos. He loved the Indiana Pacers, Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
Pops had a giving heart and gave his life to Christ early in life as a young man. He was a member of Eastern Star Church and was a member of the “Men of Standard” choir group.
Family and limited close Friends are invited to attend this celebration of Life Memorial. Due to Covid19 all attendees are required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
