Tanisha Marie (Rainey) Rosenthall was born June 27, 1983 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Larry Rainey and Tracey Smith. Tanisha accepted Christ at an early age and baptized at Greater St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member for over 20 years. In later years with her husband and children, she became a member of Cornerstone Family Worship Center where she excelled in ministry. She accepted her calling to ministry and was ordained on May 12, 2017 in the presence of many friends and family.
Tanisha was blessed to meet the love of her life at an early age. She was united in Holy Matrimony to John C. Rosenthall on October 27, 2002. They shared 16 years of marriage and over 20 years of dedication and devotion. To their union three wonderful children were born, Taniya, Jamarion, and Jametrius. With loving hearts, John and Tanisha opened up their home to Christopher (nephew) and raised him as their own.
Tanisha was a woman of many gifts and talents. She was a great administrator and organizer. Tanisha always had a nourishing and kind spirit which she shared with her family, friends and church family. Tanisha had a love for children that was undeniable from an early age which gifted her to lead many youth ministries and organizations. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Parent Faculty Organizational President. She volunteered at Winding Ridge Elementary School as a parent assisting and putting together events. This dedication and commitment led to her accepting a position on staff as the Instructional Assistant, serving 4th and 6th grade students touching the lives of children, parents and faculty with great impact.
Mrs. Tanisha Marie Rosenthal departed this precious life on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the age of 35 years. Her grandmother, Katie; uncle, Tony; and brothers, Kino and Keon preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her loving and devoted husband, John C. Rosenthall; daughter, Taniya; two sons, Jamarion and Jametrius and beloved nephew, Christopher; father, Larry Rainey; mother, Tracey Marie Smith; brothers, Patrick, Larry B. and Larry Jr.; sister, Lakeia; uncles: Joseph and Jeffery; aunt, Talana; father-in-law, Jerry Bray; brothers, Randall (Leah) and Tony (Kawana); sisters, Latanya and Tina; a host of nieces, nephews, loving family and devoted friends, 'The Melanin Queens, God Children, and so many others touched by her love and kindness.
