The Life of Susie B.

Susie Beatrice Bufkin, lovinglyknown as 'Susie B.' was born on April 9,1932 in Rollingfork, Mississippi to the late Theodore Bufkin and Rev. Rhoda LeeMontgomery. At the age of twelve, Susie B. ventured north with her mother toIndianapolis, In. She attended School no. 4. She became a member of TabernacleMissionary Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age. She laterfollowed Pastor Errick Peck and became a member of Citadel Missionary BaptistChurch.

At the age of 23, she married LeeC. Moore on October 14, 1955. They were married up until his passing in 2001. In1964, Susie B. began a new adventure and graduated from cosmetology school. Shepracticed cosmetology for 10 years.

Susie B. was a loving wife, motherand homemaker. She was an outstanding cook and the family looked forward todinner and holidays to eat some of the best cooking on the east side of town!

Anyone who knew Susie B. knows that she lived life to thefullest! She enjoyed every day of life and mostly being in the company of herfriends and family. Age was just a number to Susie B. She had friends from allages who loved to spend time with her.

Susie B. was our family beauty and you could find hersashaying coming in and going out. She was one of the classiest ladies you haveever met, loved to dress and full of style. She had a great sense of humor andalways telling a good joke (sometimes inappropriate but still funny).

Susie B. loved to dance and you would find her snapping herfingers to her favorite Jazz music on her porch waiting for family and friendsto visit. She was a spirit filled with joy and kindness and would help anyoneshe was able to help. Susie B. loved the Lord and had one of the largestmustard seeds of faith. She had strength of the greatest fighter and exceededexpectations through many major life events. One thing about Susie B. - don'tcount her out as she did not give up easily!

Susie B. has a loving and devoted daughter, Lajoi Jackson.She also has a lot of grafted daughters as well; Debbie, Desiree, and Denise (Nicey),and a host of others. She had two special nieces; Sharian 'Petey' Moore andAndra McCoy

As she loved all of her family she had a particular love forher boys, special sons; Arthur 'Poochie', Stone and Prince; grandson, EricBufkin and great grandson, Sean Boyd.

Susie B. departed this earthly life and started her heavenlylife on Sunday, August 21, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Theodore Bufkinand Rhoda Montgomery; her late husband, Lee C. Moore.; brother, Andrew DavisJr. and great grandson, Christian Long.

Her memory will be cherished by; one daughter, Lajoi Jackson (Stone); threesiblings; Rayvon Bufkin (Denise), China Bufkin, and Ted Bufkin; three grandchildren, Eric Bufkin (Brittany),Buffie Bufkin (Stephen) and Bridgette Long (Carl); twelve great grandchildrenand one great-great grandchild; two cousins, Judge Booker (Beatrice) and AdaMae Hobbs and a host of other cousins,relatives and special friends.

When you think about celebration, you think of Susie B! Sheis now at another celebration for eternity and loving it! Let's praise God andcelebrate with her!
