Steven E. Sweatt

Mr. Steven Ernest Sweatt, the son of John Torrance and Ruth Stella Bollen, was born February 23, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He received his primary education in the Indianapolis Public Schools and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School. He later received his certification in Heating and Cooling from ITT Technical Institute.

Steven was employed at Modern Heating and Cooling for 11 years before retiring. In his spare time, Steven enjoyed fishing and spending time with his wife of 42 years. He was a loving person who deeply cared and provided for his family.

Steven Ernest Sweatt departed this life on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the age of 70 years old. His parents; sister, Ruby Garner; brothers: Woody Sweatt, Aaron Sweatt and Alfonso Bollen; and sisters, Carolyn Gilbert and Shirley Bass all preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Sweatt; daughter, Lajuana McKinney, grandchildren, Derrick McKinney II and Linda McKinney; brother, Elroy Sweatt; sisters: Priscilla Graves, Ruthie Stowers, Raynelle Garner and Mary Ware; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving relatives and cherished friends.
