Shannon Shannia Robinson

July 27, 1983 — October 31, 2016

The world got a little brighter July 27th, 1983. That day, in Indianapolis, Indiana's Methodist Hospital, Shannon Shannia Robinson became the first born child to Sharon Robinson; and thus began her journey of shining her bright spirit on all those who crossed her path.

Shannon grew up in Pike Township and seemed to quickly discover how to shine within extracurricular activities. While attending Guion Creek Middle school she played softball, learned violin, and became a cheerleader where her kindness and beautiful smile would serve as part of her caring legacy. She continued her musical interest into high school becoming part of Pike's Performing Orchestra, adding to the long list of classmates and teaching staff who would recognize and appreciate her memorable smile. Throughout high school a theme of helping others began to emerge and that nurturing spirit help define the next step she would take in life. After graduating Pike High School in 2002, Shannon enrolled in Ivy Tech to pursue a career in the Pharmaceutical industry. In 2008 she graduated as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, and soon after began her career at Eskenazi (Wishard) Pharmacy. Working there allowed her to touch many patients with a genuinely caring and comforting spirit. Sooner than later co-workers and patients grew accustomed to her willingness to help, her beautiful warm smile, and hilarious stories that were sure to make you laugh. She added animals to the list of things she nurtured and cared for by becoming a mother to Lucy; a puppy that had been all but forgotten in a home run by bigger more cared for dogs. She used that same nurturing spirit while working at PetSmart seasonally where she no doubt touched the lives of people and pets alike. Though working kept her busy she always made time to help her grandparents whenever she was needed and did the same for most all family and friends. 'I can't help you' was not a phrase Shannon frequently used. In fact, her willingness to help, her beautiful smile, her loving heart, and her bright spirit is what defines her legacy.
On October 31st, 2016 Shannon went to sleep here on Earth and awoke in the arms of her Grandfather James Robinson, who was waiting to lead her to the spot she had secured with her kindness and love. She leaves behind her Father, Mr. Phines Jacskon, and Mother, Mrs. Sharon Robinson-Jackson; Brother, Phines Jackson Jr; Sisters, Sylvia (Charlie) Harris and Amber Jackson; Grandmother, Thelma Robinson; 1 nephew Isaiah Harris, and 1 niece Bailey Harris; 'Doggy-Baby' Lucy Robinson; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. She has joined the many who have been called to shine down upon us with their brilliant spirit. WELL DONE SHANNON! WELL DONE!
