Scottie Roniel 'Scott' Joiner

Mr. Scottie Roniel Joiner 'Scott', age 51, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

Scottie was born in Evansville, Indiana to Alexander and Dorothy Joiner. He attended Central High School in Evansville. At an early age, Scottie professed his faith and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior under the leadership of his Aunt and Pastor, Bettie Gary of Faith Powerhouse Outreach Church.

Scottie was united in Holy Matrimony to Iris Brown on August 24, 1996. Together they shared over 20 years of love.

He was last employed with All My Sons Moving and Storage Company before battling his illness of cancer.

Scottie loved to cook for his family. He also enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and helping others as he could fix anything. He was a gifted man of many different trades. HIs passing will truly be a deep loss to his family and friends.

Scottie was preceded in death by his father Alexander Joiner, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Iris Joiner; children: Scott Joiner, Jr., 'Ryan', Diamond Joiner, Justin Joiner and stepson, Terry Majors; four grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Joiner, 4 brothers; Alexander, Larry, James and Rickey Joiner; sisters: Caroline McNaryi, Nettie Rucker and Nellie Johnston; many other loving relatives and close friends.

Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 12 Noon to 1pm at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals, 5811 E. 38th Street. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm.
