Saundra A Gupton

Saundra Anise Gupton peacefully passed away at her home in Indianapolis, IN on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.
Saundra was born on June 15, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN to Iva and George Smith (both deceased). She is also preceded in death by her brother Warren Smith. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Norman Gupton, Jr., their children Christian Diggs, Cheri Gupton, Che Gupton (Tonya); grandchildren Cherae (Scottie), Christopher, Shane and Shaun; and great grand children Cameron, Caila and Skylar; her brother and 2 sisters, Darryl Smith, Alicia Harrison and Marcia Dumas; her beloved Sister-in-law Teresa Hall (Melvin). Saundra is also survived by a multitude of close family, life long friends and her loving Christian family.
Saundra grew up in Indianapolis. She worked for Allison Rolls-Royce for 20+ years. Following God's leading she later went on to earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2002 and then a Master of Arts in Psychotherapy and Faith from Christian Theological Seminary in 2008. She was able to combine her love for Jesus Christ and people to start her personal counseling services named Restoring Rivers.
Saundra's faith in the Lord was evident in her daily life. Her unfailing love for her family will be felt by them for eternity. She was a beloved member of Life Church-Eagle Creek Campus where she served faithfully for several years. Saundra also enjoyed many other friendships from her childhood, work places and past church memberships. Anyone that knew her would simply describe her as 'An Angle.' She will be greatly missed but would want us all to know that this doesn't have to be good bye forever. If we except Jesus as our Lord, we too shall rest with her in heaven.
