Rosie Lee Amerson was born in Livingston, Alabama on March 1, 1928.
Rosie confessed her belief in Christ at an early age. She served in church as a Sunday school teacher, choir member and missionary worker for many years. She was a faithful member at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church for 26 years. At the time of her passing, Rosie was a member of Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church for 30 years. She worked with Victory Over Bondage, The Season Hearts and served as a member of the Pastor's Aid.
Rosie married Arthur Glenn on November 12, 1950 and was a faithful wife and mother to two children Darlene and Darrell.
Rosie worked at VA Hospital for 32 years as an LPN. She was awarded the first Heart and Hand pin for her service to our Veterans. Rosie was given many awards while working at VA before retiring. She returned to nursing and worked 13 years at Greenbriar Rehab.
Rosie departed this life on October 22, 2023 at the age of 95. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Arthur (1987) and daughter, Darlene (2019).
Rosie leaves to cherish her memory, son Darrell Glenn; grandchildren, Tasha Young, Ashley Greene, Dominique Glenn, Amber Francis; 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
