Robert L. Holts, Jr. "Bobcat"

Robert Lee Holts Jr. was born on April 1, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan. He was the oldest of three children born to Robert Sr. and Ernestine Holts, both of whom preceded him in death.

Robert Jr. was educated in Detroit, Michigan, and attended Detroit Public Schools. Afterward, he worked at General Motors and held various other jobs. He later met and married his wonderful wife, Kimberly, in Detroit. Their union was blessed with six children, whom they lovingly raised in Indiana. Robert Jr. had a strong faith and praised God daily. He was known for his kindness, generosity, compassion, and incredible sense of humor. Whenever someone was going through a difficult time, he always found a way to bring a smile to their face and make them laugh. He never met a stranger—Robert loved meeting people, conversing with them, and proudly sharing that he was from Detroit. He had a deep passion for cars, a love he inherited from his father. Robert also enjoyed music, comedy shows, and concerts. An excellent painter and renovator, he painted his parents’ home and numerous neighbors' homes in Detroit. Robert was a dedicated and immensely proud father who adored his children and grandchildren. Before falling ill, he achieved one of his dreams: purchasing a truck and running a side business detailing cars and power washing homes. This brought him great joy, and he was wholeheartedly committed to his work.

On Friday, January 10, 2025, Robert Jr. departed this life and transitioned to eternal rest in glory. He leaves to cherish and honor his memory: his six children, Christopher (Kionna), Jessica (Darnell), Kiaro (Chelsey), Lakeisha, Ashley, and Anna; his brother Harold (Christie); his sister Tina; 14 grandchildren: Mekhi, Ava, Cameron, Keshawn Jr., Kayden, Deron, Treysean, Shakiyah, Kallena, Armani, Amori, Kimmora, Maleah, and Darnell Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Zuri; one nephew, Julian; two nieces, Hannah and Brooke; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
