Mr. Robert. E. Brown

December 3, 1942 — December 21, 2016

Robert E. Brown son of Mary R. Young was born December 3, 1942, in Union City TN. My Pops spent the early years of his childhood in TN before joining the Navy in July of 1963. My father was assigned to the U.S.S. Constellation where he received a Good Conduct Medal 1st Award for service ending December of 1965. My Pops then attended San Diego State University in 1974 where he majored in Liberal Arts (Music). My father and mother Norma Jean Jones met during a talent show in opposing bands. My Mothers group beat my fathers band and their love for the music industry brought them together after this. As their relationship grew they both continued separate musical endeavors.

Robert E. Brown then was employed by the United States Postal Service in San Diego and then transferred to Indiana. He continued his career at the post office as Building Maintenance where he received two Certificates of Appreciation for Exceptional Work Ethics. He took great pride in the upkeep of the Lawrence Post Office as all of you well know. My father had a great relationship with many of his coworkers as well as the customers who did business there.

My father always had a thirst for knowledge and never accepted the status-quo. So I enjoyed as well as many of you did the books and the highlighted portions that he always shared. My father later repeated some of the same doctrine every week, but as his son I didn't mind listening as I knew one day he wouldn't be here to share those same quotes with me. My father had a quick wit and a great sense of humor, that's where I get my comedic talent from.

Robert E. Brown parted this life December, 21 2016, at the age of 74. Survived by his son Eric C. Brown & Grandson Eric C. Brown II.
