Robbie Madeline (Witherspoon) Birdsong

Evangelist Robbie Madeline Birdsong was born September 2, 1928 in Olive Hill, Tennessee to the late John Witherspoon and Blanche Ward.

She moved to Indianapolis, Indiana with her family in January of 1967. Robbie accepted Christ at the early age of 19 years old. She was a member of Bread of Life Church of God in Christ for over 30 years.

Robbie was joined in Holy Matrimony to Luther Will Birdsong on May 3, 1953, for 32 years and to this union six children were born. Luther preceded her into eternity.

She worked at Indiana Bell for 15 years. Robbie was known as a homemaker that loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling and going to different church functions. All those who crossed her path had a chance to experience her sarcastic, witty nature and fun-loving spirit.

Evangelist Robbie Madeline Birdsong departed this life on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 92 years. Her son, Joel “Rudy” Birdsong; daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Birdsong; and siblings: James Witherspoon, Napoleon Witherspoon, Pauline Harvell, Edna Williams, Ella Mae Dixon, Ethel Bates and James “Sonny” Ward all preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her sons: Ricky Birdsong, Michael Birdsong, Terryon “Teddy” Birdsong Sr. and Chris Birdsong; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
