Rita Ann Jackson-Owens

Rita Ann Jackson-Owens, age 59, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016.Rita was the first child born in Frankfort, Kentucky to Naomi M. Ennis Mays and Louis Jackson.She moved to Indianapolis where she met her husband, James Owens. They were united in holy matrimony on August 4, 1975. To this union three children were born...Paula, Naomi and Victor.Rita loved to dance. Music was one thing that calmed her. She was very free-hearted, loved helping people and loved to cook. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Rita Ann Jackson-Owens leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, James Owens, 3 children, Paula, Naomi and Victor; 3 brothers, Mike, Mark and Keith; 2 sister, Tammy and Grace; 8 grandchildren, DJ, Diamond, Laysha, Veronica, Joseph, Teyona, Kayla, DeShawn; 1 great grandchild, Denyla and a host of other family members and friends.Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11th, from 10am until 12 Noon at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals 5811 E. 38th Street. Funeral service will follow at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Sutherland Park Cemetery.
