Percy Lee Spencer, the son of his loving parents, Elijah (Teari) Campbell and Peachie Mae Spencer, entered this life on February 25, 1949 in Byhalia, Mississippi.
He worked for the Indianapolis Public Schools driving the backhoe for over 20 years.
Percy loved his family and friends and was always his family's protector. He loved cars and enjoyed entering his own classic cars into car shows. As a beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. Percy will forever be in our hearts.
Mr. Percy Lee Spencer departed this life on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the age of 67 years old. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peachie Mae Spencer; father, Elijah Campbell; son, Steven Spencer; granddaughter, Cinnamon Spencer; brothers, Frank Spencer and Clyde Spencer and sister, Earnestine Spencer.
Percy leaves to cherish his memory: five sons, Percy Lee Spencer, Jr., Robert Lee Spencer, Terry Lee Duke, Rodney Lee Duke Spencer, and Jerome Duke; two daughters, Cheryl Spencer (Travis Carries) and Christie Marie Spencer; one brother, Robert Earl (Jeanette) Brown; two sisters, Joyce Spencer and Valencia Hightower; twenty-five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
