PAUL HOWLETTE WILLIAMS was born June 18,1937 to Adolphus Williams and Myrtle Williams in Jackson, Tennessee. As a young man, Paul would work alongside his family through sharecropping and tending to local general stores.
While at an early age, Paul gave himself to the Lord through baptism. Later into adulthood, Paul followed his eldest brother to Indianapolis, Indiana to set forth his path of life.
As he journeyed through life, Paul met Alberta “Aunt Bert” Seawood which led to matrimony as husband and wife.
He started working for various laundry and hospitable vending services. Paul succeeded at Wash-Rite Services through leadership and management for decades. Also, with a partnering company, Capitol Vending Inc. Paul went on to provide his hardworking traits to Speed Queen Laundry Co. for over 40 years.
“Uncle Paul” loved and was loved by a host of nieces and nephews. His kindness and caring thoughtfulness toward his fellow man, woman and child go undeniable. ‘Mr. Paul” was loved by the Mapleton-Fall Creek community of families he served with class, care, love and respect.
Paul Howlette Williams departed this life on Friday, June 24, 2022. His father, Adolphus Williams; mother, Myrtle Williams; three brothers, Samuel Ragland Sr., James Williams and Clarence Williams; sister, Vera Williams; and grandson, Lawrence Seawood all preceded him in death.
His loving memories continue through his daughter, Rosetta Seawood; son, Paul Anthony Williams (Maree); two grandchildren, Jordan Briscoe and Syria A. M. Williams; three great-grandchildren: Ashley McNeill, Adrien and Dana-Drew Briscoe; one great-great-grandchild, “SJ”; a host of family and friends.
