Paris DeWayne Vaughn

Paris DeWayne Vaughn was born on June 13, 1981, to the union of Michael A. and Rena P. Vaughn in Indianapolis, Indiana. Paris transitioned to his new home on May 14, 2024, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

Paris received his formal education in the Indianapolis school system. He played offensive and defensive football at Arlington High School and was a member of the Golden Knight Marching Band playing the base drum. Paris graduated from Arlington High School in 2000. He attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff following his parents and sister, Michelle’s legacy. Later he attended Ivy Tech College for Heating and Cooling.

Paris enjoyed working and demonstrated good work ethics, a trait he learned from his parents. He worked at Finish Line Athletic Store as a teen, Blossom Chevrolet in detailing and transporter where he met his mentor Robert Oldham whom he maintained a close friendship with. He also worked in Greenfield, Indiana at DeWalt Black & Deckard Inc as a Forklift driver. His final job was with Dormakaba (Best Lock) where he was a Team Leader. He enjoyed his work and spending time with his co-workers.

Paris was a people person, always friendly, kind, and willing to help. He enjoyed grilling, a skill his father taught him. He would often grill steaks for his co-workers and friends at Dormakaba. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, RVing, and yard work, skills passed down from his father, Micheal A. Vaughn.

Paris joined Eastern Star Church in 1990 where he was baptized and started working in the church nursery at the age of nine years old and remained a faithful member until his passing.

Paris leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted son, Kaden D. Vaughn; his kind and caring mother, Rena P. Vaughn; God-brotherEarl Wayne Wilson Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina; special longtime friend, Lenna Kimbrough; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, many loyal friends, and coworkers.
