Norman Lauroy Harris Sr. aka “Stormin Norman” was born March 25, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Leon Harris and Dorothy (Dixon) Miller.
He received his education in the Indianapolis Public Schools and attended Shortridge High School. Norman later joined the United States Marines where he served in the Vietnam War. He proudly served as a Marine from the years 1965-1969 until he received his Honorable discharge.
Norman held many jobs with his most recent place of employment was being a dietary aide and cook for Spring Mill Nursing Home.
He was a member of the Black Angels Motorcycle Club where he was the Sergeant of Arms. His hobbies included: shooting pool, bowling, fishing, motorcycle rides, playing cards and listening to music.
Norman Lauroy Harris Sr. departed this life on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the age of 74 years.
His brothers, Jerry Harris and Jackie Shockency; grandsons, Norman White and Mikey all preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his children, Norman Harris Jr. and Derrick Morris; stepchildren: BJ, Johnny, KeKe, Tamika, Bryant, Adrian, NaTasha and Monique; siblings: Linda, Leon Sr., Yanez Sr., Barry, Vickey, Gwen, Earl Sr., Wanda, Marsha, Cheryl, Bonnie Gale, Marlena, Deborah, Niecy and Patricia Anne; ex-wife, Patricia Harris; special friend, Kelly Jackson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.
