A Time To Be Born
Norma Jean Spiller was born on December 6, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Jethro Parrott and currently living Mildred Parrott. She was first daughter of the three children they had together and the fourth child of her five siblings from their mother- Jackie Eldridge, Ella Poindexter, Brenda Stevenson (decreased), Cleo Parrott, and Mary best known as Tina Clarke.
A Time To Plant
Norma was raised up in central Indianapolis by her parents where she attended Indianapolis Public Schools including Arsenal Technical High School. She entered adulthood taking on many life challenges which lead her to receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age.
A Time To Love
After being introduced to her first love; Jesus, a man named Tommy Spiller caught her eye and attention. They got married and then moved to Gary, Indiana. Unfortunately, this union produce no children which may explain why Norma Jean was so affectionate towards babies. She loved babies. Norma was married to Tommy until his passing 2021.
A Time to Live
Norma’s new life began when she decided to live with her sister Tina who was serving in the United States Army. She had a chance to travel and assist in help raising her niece; Taejon Jefferson and nephew Leviticus Clarke Jr. better known as LJ. Matter of fact, she had the privilege and the joy of cutting LJ’s umbilical cord in his father’s absence. The end of her traveling journeys landed in San Antonio, Texas where she rededicated her life back to Christ at Word of Faith Christian Center pastored by Rodney Pearson. Her church family dearly loved her. However her, final residence here in Indianapolis afforded her the opportunity to out of earthly days with her beloved mother.
No matter where Norma resided she was the life of the party. She loved dancing. Everybody love them some Norma. Norma had a compassionate heart, was very witty, and funny. But who she loved the most on this earth was her mother and often told her that repeatedly.
A Time For Eternal Rest
Norma Jean Spiller, age 70 transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Sunday Morning, December 15, 2024 at 4:40am.
A Time To Miss
Norma leaves to rejoice in her memories; loving mother, Mildred Parrott; sisters Jackie, Ella, Cleo, Tina; brother-in-love, Leviticus; a host of nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.
