Mrs. Nellie Bryant

Mother Nellie R. Bryant, the second child of five siblings born to the late Joe Welton and Tilla (Petty) Roundtree, was born on November 11, 1925 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Mother Bryant departed this life on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the blessed age of 99 years.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was educated in Bowling Green, Kentucky's school system. Mother Bryant later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1955 where she met her dear husband in 1957, Mr. William C. Bryant whom she was married to until the Lord called him home in 1981.

Mother Bryant was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church for 20 years and in 1997 she united with the Cathedral Westside Church. She served as a Mother of the church.

She was employed by her best friend, Ms. Liz Townsend at her beauty shop Fashion in Hair, where she was employed until she came out of the workforce. She came home and opened her own shop in her home in 2008 until her health started failing her and she had to go live with her niece and nephew until the Lord called her home.

Her hobbies were doing hair, traveling, and dressing up. She leaves to cherish her memories of one sister, Lavern Anthony of Bowling Green, KY and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, and her nephew.
