Mervin Lee 'Uncle Buck' Smith

Mervin Lee 'Uncle Buck' Smith, Sr., age 54 passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016.Mervin received his elementary education in the Indianapolis Public School System and graduated from Marshall High School.Mervin professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Universal Church of Truth.He loved fishing and cooking and making everyone laugh! He was a very good handy man...doing various things. Most of all, he had a special love for children.Mervin leave to cherish his memory, two sons; Zachariah Smith and Mervin Smith, Jr., two sisters; Lavonna 'Bonnie' Mallory and Rayney 'Inky' Hill, one brother; Kevin 'Man' Smith one sister-in-law Sylvia Smith, two cousins raised with him as sister and brother, Karen 'Happy' Porter Foust and James 'Tiger' Riddle. He also had a special lady in his life, Stacey White and a host of other relatives and friends.Family and Friends Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 27th from 10:30am until 11am at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals 5811 E. 38th Street. Funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment will be in New Crown Cemetery.
