Melion Big Mel' Carroll

Mr. Melion Carroll, III. 'Big Mel', age 45, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015.'Big Mel' accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of nine. He attended Indianapolis Public Schools and graduated from Emmerich Manuel High School in 1988.He enlisted into the US Army, served in Special Forces and was honorably discharged.He worked for AAA Insurance until his passing. He had a love for people of all ages. 'Big Mel' leaves to cherish his memory; His wife, Bessie Mae Carroll; mother of three of his children; son, Melion Carroll IV; daughters, Keynatika Carroll, LaShona Carroll, Louvriona Carroll; father, Elbert Essett, Jr.; mother, Eller Mae Higgins; 6 siblings, 6 grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 26th, from 9am until service time of 11am at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals, 5811 E. 38th Street.Interment will be in Sutherland Park Cemetery.
