Maxine L. Evans

Mrs. Maxine L. Evans, age 71, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2016.She was born in Cairo, Illinois to Orville and Geneva Buckner. She was educated in the Indianapolis Public School System, schools #26 and Crispus Attucks High School.Maxine was employed at Glendale, 'The Patio Cafeteria'. She enjoyed traveling, going to seafood restaurants and spending time with family.She confessed a hope in Christ at Greater Northwest Baptist Church in 1999. She was united in holy matrimony to Jimmie L. Evans on August 19, 1967. She was the mother of two children and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Michael and Donald Buckner. Maxine L. Evans leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Jimmie Evans; daughter, Tammy Booker (Larry); son, Mark Evans (Selenia); granddaughter, Jasmine Calvert; sisters, Norma Daniels, Brenda Harrison of California; Glenda Walton of Gary, Indiana and Phyllis Harris; brother; Robert Buckner (Sheila), Orville, Richard, George and Ralph Buckner and a host of other family members, church family and many friends. Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11th from 10am until 12 Noon at Greater Northwest Baptist Church 3402 West 62nd Street. Funeral service will follow at 12 Noon.
