Mr. Maurice Lewis Hill 'Big Moe', age 20, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016.Maurice was born on August 10, 195 to Tamica Johnson and Joe L. Hill.He received his GED and later went to Med Tech College for Medical Assistant. He was employed at McDonalds. Maurice was affectionately called 'Big Mo Cheezy' by his friends, and was always a happy person. He loved to joke around and he was definitely a prankster! He got a good laugh out of annoying his mother and grandmother! Maurice rededicated his life to Christ a month before his passing at Pilgrim Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.Maurice was Joe and Tamica's only child. He was a devoted son, nephew, cousin and friend to many. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Joe Hill and Tamica L. Johnson; grandmothers, Karen Franklin and Verma Lee Ross; grandfathers Samuel Johnson, Robert Relford (Corky) and James Bowe; a special cousin, Daunte' Bates, who grew up side by side with Maurice and was more like a brother; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 10am until 12 Noon at Greater St. James Baptist Church, 3101 E. Raymond Street. Funeral service will follow at Noon.Interment will be in New Crown Cemetery.
