Obituary for Mary Bridges

Mary P. Bridges, daughter of Robert Blakemore Sr. and Annie Belle Baker, was born August 25, 1921, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
After a period of living in Louisville, Kentucky, Mary returned to Indianapolis, where she worked at the Children's Guardian home and Stewart Warner, to name a few; eventually retiring from Indiana Bell, after 20 years of service, where she worked as a telephone operator. Mary was an active member of St. Rita Catholic Church and the Ladies' Court.
Mary P. Bridges (Blakemore) departed this life peacefully at Community East Hospital on December 24, 2017 at the age of 96 years. Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Willie Mae (Peggy) Parker, brother, Robert Blakemore II, grandson John D. Franklin, granddaughter Tia R. Wills and her daughter, Anita M. Paige. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, grandson, Michael O. Franklin of Indianapolis, great granddaughters, Michelle Edmond (Jonesboro, Georgia) Christy R. Wills (Indianapolis), great- great grandson, Will A. Gregory (Indianapolis), great-great granddaughter, Jayden Barner (Jonesboro, Georgia) and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Visitation was held at St. Rita Catholic Church 1733 Dr Andrew J Brown Ave Indianapolis IN 46202 at 10:00:00 AM on 1/4/2018.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Rita Catholic Church 1733 Dr Andrew J Brown Ave Indianapolis IN 46202 at 11:00:00 AM on 1/4/2018.
