Marion Ann Clegg-Rivera

Marion Ann Rivera was born May 2, 1957 to parents A.B. Clegg and Pearly Lee Jones Joynier in Birmingham, Alabama.  She the eldest of two children.  When Marion was five years old, her family relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana where she was educated through the Indianapolis Public School system and graduated from Arlington High School.  Marion continued her education at the School of Agriculture in Ohio.

Marion accepted Christ at an early age and loved the Word of God.  She would listen to scriptures on her computer.

Marion was a hard worker and was self employed doing landscaping.

Marion met the love of her life, Ricardo Rivera, and they were united in matrimony on April 12, 1986.  To this union two beautiful children were born, Pearlina and Ricardo.

Marion was a free spirit with a wonderful smile.  She was a wonderful provider who looked out for everyone.  Marion loved to share her life experiences and was a person you could always turn to for great advice.  Marion was the “Lady in Charge” and always made sure things were done proper and in order.  Marion loved music and spending time with her children and only grandchild, Bryson.  She also enjoyed fixing up her home and home improvement projects.  Marion was a very special person who was deeply loved and will be sadly missed.

Marion Ann Rivera departed this life on August 16, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 33 years, Ricardo Tellez Rivera; her daughter, Pearlina La-Cole Joy Rivera; and son, Ricardo William Kingston Rivera; grandson, Bryson Lamont Pack; her brother, Albert Clegg; nephew, Albert Dewon Downey; uncle, Jerry W. Jones; and a host of cousins and friends.
