Marcia Lynn Bonds

OBITUARY

Marcia Lynn Stills Bonds was born on January 16, 1953. Marcia attended Vincennes Junior College where, she met her husband, Steven Bonds, and married on July 16, 1977. Marcia worked for 38 years with the Indiana State Welfare Department and retired from the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) in 2013. As a Servant for Christ, she served in many roles at Campbell Chapel AME Zion Church, where she and her family served faithfully. Marcia enjoyed baking, gardening, vacationing and mentoring her grandchildren. Marcia, saw the road was getting rough, the hill was hard to climb, she closed her eyes and the Creator said 'Peace'. She found rest on March 30, 2018 at the age of 65. She is survived by her husband Steven, mother Otee Stills, children Lynette and David, brothers Robert and Howard Stills and Uncle Lee (Ernestine) Foster. As well as, a host of grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral arrangements for Marcia will be held at Lavenia & Summers Funeral Home 5811 E 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46218 on Saturday, April 7,2018, viewing 9am- 10:20am, service at 10:30am.
