Loretta Yvonne Mitchell, affectionately known as Yvonne, was born on December 3, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Rollie Robinson Jr. and Loretta Mitchell. She passed away leaving a lasting impact on all who knew and loved her.
Yvonne spent her early years in the small town of Richmond, Indiana, where her adventurous spirit began to blossom. She went on many ventures to build a life for her children—living in Cincinnati, Ohio, moving to Indianapolis, Indiana, and even traveling to New York to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a Hip-Hop artist. Her creative spark and resilience led her to explore music, where she found joy in crafting beats and expressing herself through sound.
In time, Yvonne transitioned into the service industry, where she worked diligently and passionately. Her dedication and natural leadership led her to several managerial roles. She had a gift for sparking creative projects and effortlessly found joy in every new endeavor she pursued.
Yvonne was a wise and thoughtful woman who loved sharing her insight with anyone willing to listen. She often inspired those around her with her words, her warmth, and her unwavering spirit.
Yvonne is survived by her children: Michael Mitchell, Maria Favors, and Shaniquea Mitchell; beloved grandchildren: King-R’Tez Mitchell-Goolsby, Queen-Ah’leya Favors, Aria Mitchell, Malic Mitchell, Lei’lanii Favors, Leland Favors, and Ava Mitchell; loving mother, Loretta Mitchell; brothers, Rollie Mitchell and Mark Summerour; a host of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rollie Robinson Jr.; paternal grandparents, Rollie Sr. and Katherine Robinson; maternal grandparents, Rudolph and Nellie L. Mitchell; and sister, Leonetta Jackson.
Yvonne had a deep and spiritual connection that guided her throughout her life. She believed in the power of love, kindness, and positive energy, always striving to uplift and support those around her. Her life was a reflection of her generous heart and her unwavering belief in living with purpose.
Her greatest loves were her mother, her children, and her grandchildren—who lovingly called her “CocoBee”—as well as her two beloved fur babies. She treasured every moment spent with them and embraced each day with joy and gratitude.
Yvonne will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her boundless love, infectious kindness, wisdom, and her unique ability to bring light and joy to everyone around her.
