Linda Gail Johnson, age 67 passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016.Linda was born on February 4, 1949 to James E. Johnson, Sr. and Ruby Lee Johnson. She attended Bransford High School. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.She retired from Steak-n-Shake after 25 years of service.Her favorite hobbies were loving and caring for her grandchildren, cooking and cleaning and playing bingo lottery cards.Linda Gail Johnson leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Jay Earlish Battle, Sr.(LaToya); four grandchildren, Torron Emmanuel Porter, Jaysia Le'Naye Nicole Battle, Le'Aysia Nai Battle, Jay Earlish Battle, Jr.; sisters, Bonnie Sue Crockett, Betty Jo Mitchell, Robin Pope; brother, James E. Johnson, Jr. (Nicole Woodard); Angela Johnson, aunt, Clara Harris; uncle, Harold James; lifelong partner, Jimmie Earlish Battle; stepchildren, Stephanie Carnell, Dale A. Battle, Tracey L. Battlle; Demetria Barnes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26th from 10am until 12 Noon at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals 5811 E. 38th Street. Funeral service will follow at 12 Noon.
