Linda S. Allen

Church Mother Linda Sue Allen was born to the late Betty Mae Jones and Curtis Williams on November 12, 1949, in Lena Mississippi. She married Willie Daniel Allen on April 21, 1967. She grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Shortridge High School.

She grew up in the Church of God in Christ and was a faithful member of Sanders Temple. As an adult, she became a Church Mother at Compassion Temple under the leadership of Elder Wynn Sanders, and later Assembly of Faith under the leadership of Elder Jimmie Williams. She was also a daycare director.

Linda loved her family, shepherding and caring for those around her. Her nieces and nephews loved to be with her, knowing her as ‘Aunt Ninny.’ She was outgoing and loved to cook. She was a very stylish woman and loved to shop for perfume. She loved to sing, and above all loved the Lord, serving Him faithfully.

Those who have gone before her include her grandchildren Blossom Latasha Allen and Christopher Gregory Richardson; siblings Ida Faye Spears, Betty Carol Anderson, Kathy Davis, Darrell Williams, and Johnny Williams. Also her grandparents Ed and ‘MaEmma’ Emma Johnson, Savanna Johnson, and LV and Addie Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Willie Daniel Allen; her children Willie Daniel, Jr. Allen (Brenda), Yolanda Allen, Ebony Allen; grandchildren Tatiana Allen, Jason Smith (Ashley), Antawn Allen (Alyssa), Emmanuel Richardson, Daniel Allen, and Nancy Thompson; siblings Curtis Williams, Elder Jimmie Williams (First Lady Shirley), Joseph K. Williams (Lori), Samuel Williams (Kelly), and Vanessa Williams (Ronald); a host of great-grandkids, special nieces and nephews, family and friends.
