Lillian L Southern

Lillian was born on November 2, 1927 to the union of Georgia A. and Herman S. Brown Sr. Georgia attended IPS Elementary School, Crispus Attucks High School and Indiana State College. Lillian retired from Indiana Bell now AT&T, came out of retirement and worked part-time as a Before & After Day Care Assistant with her best friend Jean Thomas.

Throughout Lillian’s lifetime, emphasis on life, as she lived the life she loved and loved the life she lived. Lillian gave her life to Christ at an early age and was an active member of First Baptist Church-North Indianapolis.

Lillian was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star-Daughters of Isis and a member of the Guys and Dolls Club and served on a fundraiser board at various modeling events. Yes, Lillian lived the life she loved. While living and serving others in the life she so loved, she always made time to love and care for her family and was always there for her friends. Lillian nursed and cared for family members who could not care for themselves to the point of having a bed set up in her living room to be close to a family member she cared for.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Georgia Brown, Son, Oscar Bagby Jr., Husband, William Southern, Sister, Frances Walton, Brothers Wayne and Herman Brown.

Lillian is survived by her brother Charles “Binkey” Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
