Leslie Ann 'Sister' Moore

Leslie Ann Moore was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents Anna R. Moore, Leslie Moore, Jr. and Charles Wimbley,
brother, Stanley A. Moore and sister, Carletta R. Wimbley.
Leslie departed from this life on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the age of 74 years old. She
attended Indianapolis Public Schools #29, #56 and Arlington H.S. She was employed at
Central State Hospital for 29 years, 1966-1994 and Rainbow Academy House from 1994 to 2002.

Leslie 'aka' Sister enjoyed helping and being with her family and friends. She was affectionately
called Mama, MeeMaw, Mommie Sister, Sugar Honey & Grandma by her children, grandchildren,
family members and the neighborhood children. Sister loved to shop at the Goodwill so she could
dress her grandchildren in coordinated outfits for church. She loved all music, gospel being her favorite.
She would pull out her record player to listen and lip sync her all time favorite song 'Rough Side of
the Mountain'.

She attended The Church of the First Born Saints and was the designated 'baby sitter' for many of
the saints during church services. She loved to hear Pastor Foreman preach and kept a notebook
of his sermons.

She leaves to cherish precious memories, her sister; Sherree J. Wimbley; sister-in-law; Idalia Moore,
sons; Lester F. Moore, and Stanley R. Moore (Patricia), daughter; Leslye A. Greene, grand-children;
Monique M. Moore, Queanessia Moore, LeNedra Moore, Whitney B. Moore, Paul Summers, II,
Alexandria L. Moore, Eric Newton, Monique L. Farrow, Tonisha Hamilton and Toia Hamilton,
nieces; Kathleen Moore, Yasmilca Moore, aunts; Hilda Martin, Jacqueline Hampton, Judith Pittman
and Rosemary Montgomery, her special sister; Jerrylean Johnson, friend; Booker Campbell,
god-children; Antoinette Gordon and Jason Cumberlander, and a host of nieces, nephews,

cousins and friends.

A Funeral Service was held at Church of First Born Saints 2909 E. 28th Street Indianapolis IN 46218 at 11:00:00 AM on 8/31/2017.
