Larry James Wood Sr.

Larry James Wood Sr., the son of Jesse Thomas Wood and Mary Elizabeth Wood, was born on January 5, 1955 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He received his education in the Indianapolis Public Schools and he attended Crispus Attucks High School. Larry served time in the United States Army. Later, he enrolled into Barber School.

In June 1974, Larry welcomed his son, Larry James 'Todd' Wood. He was a devoted father.

Larry gave his life to Christ and attended Harding Street Church of Christ. He enjoyed his church family. Larry was very kind and was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed help. He loved life, he enjoyed talking and laughing with family and friends. Larry was loved by many.

Larry James Wood Sr. departed this life on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the age of 63 years. His father, Jesse Thomas Wood; brothers: Wilbert, Donald, Dalton, Delbert, Clarence and George Clark-Wood; and sister, Donna Meals all preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Larry James 'Todd' Wood Jr.; mother, Mary E. Wood; three sisters, Darissa Jackson (Perry), Linda Pollard (Jerome) and Sondra Wood; brother, Jerry Wayne Wood (Karen); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.
