LaDaun C. Nelson

LaDaun Catrece Nelson was born on October 3,1972 to Terri Y. Williams and James S. Williams. She was the second of five siblings: Sean, Tamika, Cristofer and Mathieu.

LaDaun passed away at the young age of 52 on December 27, 2024. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, oldest love (daughter) Erin Kiera-MaChelle Taylor and her most cherished niece Aundrea “Auni” NaChelle Artis.

LaDaun is survived by her three “heartbeats”- her beloved children, Lauren Moore, Jerrice Gant and Dorian Nelson.

LaDaun loved her children deeply and made sure everyone knew about her “most favorite son in the whole wide house and everythangggg!” (LOL). She cherished bonding time with her children, especially during dinner dates that often ended with running up a tab. A true foodie, she believed no activity was complete without a good meal.

LaDaun was a kind and loving soul. She enjoyed making friends and building relationships with everyone she met. She was affectionately known to family and many friends as “Duck.”

Beautiful, funny and unapologetically herself. LaDaun was a one-of-a-kind spirit who will forever live in our hearts and minds. May she now rest peacefully, pain-free and worry-free and continue to cause as much ruckus and laughs above, as she did here on Earth.
