Keonya Mona Burt

Keonya Mona Burt, lovingly known as “Little Mary”, was born on April 28, 1987 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the Kevin Burt and Marshall Gibson.

Keonya attended Indianapolis Public Schools and went to Atterbury Job Corps in Edinburgh, Indiana.

Keonya gave birth to the joy of her life, her son, Brian, on December 1, 2017.

She departed this life on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the age of 32 years old.

Keonya had the sweetest spirit about her and was kind to all. She had a fashion sense and displayed current trends with beauty. Keonya was keenly aware of make-up trends and could do fingernails like the professionals. Also, she loved to listen to music and was often seen with ear plugs in jamming.

Keonya leaves to cherish her memory: son, Brian Lee; mother, Marshall Gibson; grandmother, Mary Joyner; grandfather, Earl McCoy; sister, Jane T. Burt; niece, Nijah Jane Bragg; and host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Keonya will be missed, but lives forever in our hearts.

To be absent from the body means to be present with the Lord for believers.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kevin Burt and daughter, Brittany Lee Burt.
