Ms. Kamryn Grace Cruite, affectionately known as 'Punkin', also known as 'Puddin' and 'Susie', was born Friday, May 18, 2001 at 2:06 a.m. Kamryn departed this life on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 5:01 p.m. at the tender age of 17.
Kamryn joined the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where she dedicated her life to Christ. She was baptized on August 7, 2011. Kamryn was a beautiful spirit. She adored working on cars, building model cars, all while listening to old school music. Kamryn established herself as an avid athlete of the Special Olympics, acquiring 30+ gold, silver and bronze medals in several sporting events including cycling, basketball and track. Kamryn also enjoyed ice skating, softball, roller skating and bocce. Kamryn received a yellow belt in Taekwondo.
Kamryn was in her senior year at North Central High School where she studied life skills, auto body collision and repair, and worked in the coffee shop during the morning hours at school. Kamryn was also a Cadet Sergeant in the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC). She was a dedicated member of the Best Buddies program.
Kamryn treasured hanging with her family and celebrating special occasions. She was a beautiful soul inside and out with an unforgettable personality. She was always willing to help her family and friends out whenever needed whether it be cooking, working in the yard, working on cars, changing tires, engines, or watching her younger nieces, nephews, and cousins. She liked working with her dad in the auto shop. She also loved making beats with her brother. Additionally, she enjoyed fishing with her Nana and Paw Paw. Kamryn would often joke around with her family and friends. She was a prankster and a comedian in her own right. She only wanted to love, do good, and make those closest to her proud because of her hard work.
In her spare time, Kamryn enjoyed riding her bike, playing with her cats, Ike and Tina, playing with her dog, Kobe, and sitting on the front porch. Kamryn loved to travel and visit different places. She enjoyed attending sporting events, such as church softball games, Pacers games and Colts games.
Kamryn aspired to attend ITT Technical Institute and study Mechanics. She recently learned how to drive and was looking forward to getting her driver's license, living independently and having her own family.
Kamryn was preceded in death by her sister, Aquisha Cruite-Fountain; Great Grandmothers: Mary Sanderson, Mary Goggans and Grace Taylor Bishop; Great Grandfather, Otis Tom Goggans; and Aunt, Jo Taylor.
Kamryn Grace leaves to cherish her memories to her Mother and Stepfather, Kendra and Tony Lloyd; Father, Thomas Cruite, Jr.; Brothers: Justin Goggans-Walker, Dashawn and Terrence Cruite; Sisters: Kayla Gray, Jasmine, Abreg'e and Giovonni Cruite, and Indiaka Howard; Grandparents: Lamar and Yvonne Goggans, Dianne Petty and Thomas H. Cruite, Sr.; Aunts: Tonya Montgomery (Charles), Maxine Taylor and Theresa Jones (Dennis); Uncle: Terrance Lloyd (Christine); Godparents: Tarryn Joiner (Darrius) and Kelli Hackett Beales (Joseph); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
