Julius A. Taylor, the son of the late Cleveland and Alma Taylor, was born April 13, 1959 in Akron, OH. He lived in Akron, OH in his childhood years and participated in track and field, basketball and football. Julius graduated from East High School in 1978. Thereafter, he moved to Indianapolis, IN and perused a mechanical career at Lincoln Technical Institute. He loved to use his hands and fix any type of vehicle.
Julius met the love of his life, Theresa Brown from Indianapolis, IN and they were married November 8, 1989. Early on, he was a father figure to Stephen Rush Jr. Then, they were blessed with three other children: Tionna, Julius Jr. and Devonte'. Julius was a dedicated family man who loved to take care and provide for his family.
He loved to ride motorcycles, go fishing and be a grill master at every barbeque. Julius worked for Peyton Wells as an Auto Mechanic for 10 years. Later, he became a Diesel Mechanic for Indianapolis Power and Light Company for 25 years where he retired from in 2010.
Julius was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 2, 2018 in the comfort of his home. He was 59 years young. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Alma Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory to his loving wife, Theresa Taylor; children: Stephen Rush Jr., Tionna Taylor, Julius Taylor Jr. and Devonte' Taylor; four grandchildren; two big brothers, Ronald Taylor and Winslow Taylor (Debbie) of Naples, FL; a baby sister, Cheryl Taylor-Harrison of Miami, FL; a host of nieces and nephews and very supportive friends.
