Josie Faye Ingram was born March 6, 1936 in Georgiana, Alabama to Dave and Amy George. Faye was a beautiful, bold, feisty, yet sweet-spirited women.
She moved to Indianapolis at a young age with her ten children. She loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible, going to church, singing, playing the piano and spending time with her children and family.
Josie took to a career in being a caretaker. She enjoyed this line of work because of her passion for helping others. Josie continued working as a caretaker for over twenty-five years until she was unable to work.
She lived a full life and will be missed by all of her family and friends.
Josie Faye Ingram departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Her husband, Bud D. Ingram; parents Dave and Amy George; brothers: James George, John George and Al George; sisters: Idella George, Rosetta Moore and Lola Parker; children: Amy Allen, Lee “Billy” Allen and Bobby Ray Allen; and sons-in-law, Paul Preyer and David Young all preceded her in death.
Faye leaves to cherish her memories to her children: Gloria Preyer, Beverly Allen, Linda Cannon, Teresa Young, Martina Johnson (Robert), Edward Allen and Martin Allen (Fonda); sister Minnie Rice; and a host of grandchildren, great and great-great -grandchildren, loving family and friends.
