Jorja H. Dale-Payton

Mrs. Jorja Helena Dale-Payton entered this life on August 21, 1967 from the union of Theonolia Henry Dale Sr. and Norma Minion. She was affectionately known as 'Lena' by family and close friends. At an early age, Lena accepted Christ and re-dedicated her life by getting baptized at New Beginnings Fellowship Church on December 4, 2011. Lena attended George Bucks School #94 and John Marshall High School. As a young woman, Lena became a mother to her daughter Tamea (MeMe) and later had three sons Dominique (Nique), Donahvon (Boone) and Richard (Baby Richard).

Lena was united in marriage to Keith Lamont Payton on December 10, 2014.
Lena loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was adored for her keen sense of fashion and trendy hairstyles. She was often the life of the party and known for her original sayings known as 'Lenaisms' such as 'Say Dat Den', 'You See Me', What's Hannin' and 'It's Red Baby'.
Lena's love for her children, grandchildren, family and close friends was undeniable. She referred to her daughter as 'My Child Of God' and her sons as 'My Right Hands'. She often gave everyone a nick name that stuck with them forever. In her spare time, Lena loved to re-arrange households, watch her favorite television shows and support her grandchildren's sports events. She also loved posting on Facebook and playing Candy Crush.
Lena was a professional who worked in the insurance industry for many years. She was currently employed with Allegion.
Mrs. Jorja Helena Dale-Payton departed this life on Tuesday April 18th, 2017 at the age of 49.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Keith Payton; her daughter, Tamea Wickware (Collin Sr.); her sons, Dominique Troutman (Tiara), Donahvan Troutman, Richard Sansbury V; her stepchildren, Rakisha Sansbury, Richard Sansbury IV and Kamaya Payton; her fifteen grandchildren, Collin Wickware Jr., Cameron Wickware, Cynai Wickware, Diamond Troutman, Lyric Washington, Legacii Troutman, Donahavon Troutman Jr., DaMir Troutman, Jai'ah Troutman, Jerren Byrd, Layla Johnson, RiChari Sansbury, Da'naysha Rodriguez, & RiMoni Sansbury; her siblings, Natalie Williams (Michael), Tamarra Davidson, Theonolia Dale (Sharon), Ramona Taylor (Victor), Ann Bottoms, Joaquin Dale, Sheena Craig, Remel Harte, Brandon Burton, Corey Burton, and Damon Clark.
Lena also leaves to cherish her memory, her cousin, Lakinya Burton; her dear friends Anika Harris and Barbara Johnson-Miles.
Lena is proceeded in death by her father, Theonolia H. Dale Sr.; siblings, Dornita Clay and Larry Williams Sr.; and a grandson, DaMoni Troutman.
