Joni Marie Taylor

Ms. Joni Marie Taylor, age 58, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Joni was born in Indianapolis, IN to Stella L. Taylor-Alamin. She received her education in the Indianapolis Public School system and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1976. Joni worked various jobs throughout her working career. Her last place of employment was Amazon Distribution. Joni confessed her faith in Christ and was a member of Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church. Joni enjoyed cooking and playing cards. She loved watching sports with her brother and spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Joni was preceded in death by her father, Norman Malone; her mother, Stella L. Taylor-Alamin and her niece LaKyra Malone. She is survived by her grandmother, Artina Taylor; brother, Michael Malone (Debi); sister, Janie 'Stormy' Malone, Norma Pace, Mika Malone-Rice; her niece Artina Malone; uncle, William Taylor and a host of cousins, extended family and friends. Family and Friends Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 10am until 11am at Lavenia and Summers Home for Funerals, 5811 East 38th Street. Funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment will be in New Crown Cemetery.
