John W. 'Sonny' Quinn

John W. Quinn was called to rest on August 7, 2013. He was born December 3, 1942 in Leflore, Mississippi. His family moved to Chicago, Illinois where he attended school. He later moved to Indianapolis, IN. His last employment was with Riley Hospital as a head cook, from which he retired after ten years. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved sports...fishing being his favorite past-time. He also liked to cook and barbeque. He was married to Ellen Davidson Quinn and later to Linda Hatchett Quinn, and is the father of Willie Quinn, Sr., John Quinn, Jr., and Lorie Quinn. He is survived by his children, Willie Quinn, Sr. (Sherry), John W. Quinnn, Jr. (Falonda), Mike Lamonte Quinn, Lorie Quinn Compton (Tracy), Karen Keith (Odlawn), and Marlean Hatchett; one brother, Samuel Allen, 7 sister-in-laws, 8 brother-in-laws, 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.The Family and Friends Visitation will be on Friday, August 16th from 10 am until 12 noon at New Haven MB Church 3418 N. Schofield. Funeral service will follow at noon. Interment will be in New Crown Cemetery.
