J.C. Crawford

JC Crawford went to be with his heavenly father 8/20/2016. Born12/16/1935, to the late Clarence Crawford and Ollie Clark. He spent hisformative years in Ochlochnee, Georgia.

He was educated at the local high school and laterreceived a GED.

Mr. Crawford entered in to military service 6/15/1956 inNewark, New Jersey and was stationed at Fort Riley Kansas during theKorean War. He received an honorable discharge and a good conduct medal.

He was joined in marriage to Abuigle Couch, who preceded him indeath. The union produced two children.

For 20 years he was employed by the Indianapolis Police Departmentwhere he rose to the rank of sergeant. He was subsequently employed in securityat Methodist Hospital.

He accepted Jesus Christ late in his life and was baptized atthe Kingsley Terrace Church of Christ, Indianapolis.

He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Jerry L. Crawford ofIndianapolis and a daughter, Dr. Allison Crawford of Phoenix, Arizonaas well as a granddaughter Ariana Crawford. He is also survived by a sister,Doris Hawkins of Indianapolis and a brother LC Crawford of Pembroke Pines,Florida.

A Visitation was held at Kingsley Terrace Church of Christ 2031 East 30th Street Indianapolis IN 46218 at 5:00:00 PM on 8/26/2016.

A Funeral Service was held at Kingsley Terrace Church of Christ 2031 East 30th Street Indianapolis IN 46218 at 7:00:00 PM on 8/26/2016.
