Janette B Johnson age 71, passed away on Wednesday October 6th at Community East Hospital in Indianapolis Indiana. Janette is survived by her loving Son Simeon(Gladys) Johnson. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren Jasmine, Janice, Aaliyah, Simeon jr.,Charnise, Anna, Lashai Gabrielle, Gabriel, Adonis, Heaven, Isaiah and 4 great grandchildren Emmanuel, Maria, Jace, and Serenity, and a host of nieces and nephews and Great-nieces’ and nephews as well. Janette was preceded in death by her loving and kind husband Jodie Johnson and both her parents James and Annie Bostick . Janette was the eldest Daughter of 7 Children Patricia Green, Carolyn Bostick, Dorothy (Thomas James) Fitts, Ella Marie(Earl)White, Cynthia (Lucious) Young, and James (Conchita) Bostick Jr.
Janette Enjoyed playing basketball for Estill High School where she graduated from in 1967. Janette Left Home at the age of 18 to travel and explore the world and Explore she did She spent some time in Boston with her cousin ; she also moved to Indiana selling newspapers with other young adults. She furthered her education at Kennedy King College in Chicago IL. Where she received her Associates degree in fine arts. Janette was a Volunteer At the V.A. in Chicago IL. She Also Volunteered At Meals On Wheels in Killeen, TX.
During Janette’s time on earth, she was a Wonderful Pre-School teacher and she also Served time in the Military where she received a honorable discharge from the Army in 1971 . She enjoyed Music , her stories :The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives & General Hospital. Janette LOVED her non-sociable cat Fluff . She also Loved basketball, baseball, golfing, and bike riding with her family.
More than anything though she will be remembered for being a Strong willed Woman , loving mother and wonderful grandmother who always told things exactly how they were ; while always being her sons rock and partner in crime . Janette had a Amazing way of leaving a lasting impression on those that she came in contact with once she allowed a person to be blessed with her conversation . She had a charismatic personality and she will truly be missed.
