James Edward Doss Jr.

Deacon James Edward Doss was born December 26,1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana  to Estella Woods and James Edward Doss.

He was a faithful member of Greater Faith House of Prayer for twenty years under the Pastoral guidance of Pastor Joseph Reaves and Assistant Pastor Gail Reaves.

On November 21, 2002, James was united in Holy Matrimony to Brandy N. Doss. This blessed union merged two families that became one. James became a stepfather to Christopher D. Willis, QuWayin L. Willis, Sheniah S. Willis-Fuqua and together one son, Justin J. Doss, was born to their union. James also had his oldest son, Rodney J. Doss.

James transitioned peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the age of 67 years. His mother, Estella Woods; father, James Edward Doss; brother, James Charles Woods; and daughter, Joy E. Doss all preceded him in death.

He leaves to forever cherish his love and memories, his loving wife; children; grandchildren; a host of friends and family. James has four brothers and eight sisters: Jessie & Linda Rainey, Jean Jones, Laverne Banks, AJ Woods, Shirley Doss, Sheila Rivera, Janice & Muata Rameses, Gail & Joseph Reaves, Gay & Michael West, Francine & Paul Harrison and John Woods.
